NOMAD’S DEN - HOEDSPRUIT

Designed with the modern nomadic lifestyle in mind, Nomad’s Den offers luxurious accommodation and state of the art co-work space, creating the perfect balance between work, relaxation, and immersion in nature.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in various aspects of the design. With Hoedspruit being known for its hot, dry summers, cross-ventilation was considered wherever possible. High and well insulated ceilings further helps with cooling down of the internal space.

Large overhangs and pergolas filter the direct sunlight into the buildings, ensuring light and airy spaces while limiting heat-gain. Rammed earth walls were used as feature elements as well as for its thermal mass advantages. The whole development will make use of borehole water and solar panels that will be phased in to be completely off the grid in the near future.
